I mix my plastisol 15-30 minutes (well mixed, no lumps). Measure how much plastic I'm going to use. Pour it in the pot and turn the thermostat to 375, at that time I set my stirrer on medium or higher (depending on depth of plastisol). Once your plastic goes completely clear turn down your thermostat to 310-325. I add my color and glitters (magic) never turning off my stirrer. 5 minutes and you are ready to start shooting.

A presto pot should not be used without a stirrer. The stirrer keeps your plastisol from scorching to the pot. Once you scorch your pot it is never the same. You will scorch there every time. If you use salt or a lot of glitters to have to keep it suspended, the only way is a stirrer.

Rule #1 do not spin your stirrer fast enough to introduce air into your plastisol. As your plastic gets lower in your presto pot you may have to turn your speed down.

You will need a twin injector. Dimensions for twin injectors: 2 inches between injectors each injector should be 1-1/2 inches round (Basstackle).

There are a few makers who use salt water plastic with hardener. (like trying to mix clay). Monster motor has a lot of torque!

STIRRERS

Introducing Tournament Strong Stirrers: Designed to Protect Your Plastisol and Prolong Motor Life

Our stirrers are specifically designed to prevent your plastisol from scorching to your presto pots. We understand the importance of keeping heat away from the motor, and our innovative design incorporates various precautions to achieve this. We use heat absorbing composites between the pot and motor mount, as well as between the hot plastisol and the motor. Our motors are custom-produced for Tournament Strong, with a focus on high torque and longevity.

Our 8qt, 10qt, and 6qt Monster stirrers are all equipped with larger super high torque motors, providing powerful performance for your stirring needs. Additionally, all of our stirrers are completely speed controlled, allowing you to adjust the stirring speed according to the liquid level in your pot. It’s vital to slow down the stirring speed as the liquid level decreases to prevent introducing air into your plastic.

To ensure compatibility with your presto pot, we offer stirrers that fit specific presto pot models. Our 6 quart stirrers fit presto pot model #0600611, while our 8 quart stirrers fit presto pot model #0600812, and our 10 quart stirrers fit presto pot model #0600913. For those who need even more power, our 6 quart Monster motor stirrers are also designed to fit presto pot model #0600611.

Invest in Tournament Strong Stirrers for reliable and efficient plastisol stirring, with a focus on motor protection and durability. Upgrade your plastisol stirring experience with our high-quality stirrers and enjoy peace of mind knowing your plastisol and motor are well taken care of.

COMBOS
Introducing Tournament Strong Combos: Our combos start with tried and true 6qt Presto Pot (Model #0600611)

There are (2) different options when it comes to our combos. Our Complete combo is equipped with a ball valve (spigot) threaded into the bottom of the pot. With a lot of makers the spigot is useful in producing open pour molded baits. Personally, I have to change colors quick. I will drain my pot(s) onto shallow cookie sheets and once cooled I can cut into strips with a pizza cutter for easy remelting. This combo comes complete with billet aluminum feet designed for easy mounting or clamping to the edge of your bench. Combo contains: Presto pot, Signature speed controlled stirrer, Billet feet and the temperature controller.

Our Mid Combo has everything the Complete combo has minus the spigot and the aluminum feet (not necessary). This is the first step into being able to produce a lot of baits in a short amount of time. Most of the newer makers have been dependant on using a microwave. Imagine having enough plastic to shoot all of your molds over and over again. If you just smiled, one of these combos is for you.

These combos have been staples for a lot of big swimbait makers. Some of those big swimbait makers use up to 6 Combos (representing 6 different colors) in a production line-style setup for efficiency and streamlined production.

Invest in Tournament Strong Combos for value and a complete and efficient setup for your plastisol production. Our pots and signature stirrers, along with the added convenience of the spigot and aluminum legs, will enhance your workflow and productivity, making it easier to change colors and create quality baits.
TWINS

After shooting all your molds, simply squeeze any remaining plastic back into the pots and leave your injector in the plastic. We understand that time is money, so we also offer a “Complete Twin” option for professionals who want to save time and get started quickly. Join our community of satisfied customers and take your bait-making game to the next level with our Bare Twins or Complete Twin options.

Introducing our Twins. Bare, Mid and Complete twins, all designed to enhance production of making two-color baits! The only thing you will need is your own twin injector. The injector tubes should be 1-1/2″ in diameter and 3-1/2″ center to center. Our innovative design allows you to either connect two 6-quart Presto pots (model #0600611) with our Bare Twin. For the makers who want to start mass producing right away, we offer 2 options.

Our Mid Twin starts with (2) 6qt Presto pots assembled with a Bare Twin and combined with (2) of our signature stirrers. Or if you have use for ball valves on your pots you will want to take a close look at our Complete Twin. Some of the benefits of having the valves on the bottom of your pots are for those makers that use open pour molds or if you change colors a lot and would like to drain your pot onto cookie sheets for making strips for easy remelts.

After shooting all your molds, simply squeeze any remaining plastic back into the pots and leave your injector in the plastic. Strip your blending block, demold your baits, and you’re ready to do it all over again!

Some of the reasons makers like our twins, is the price, how portable the complete unit is (you can carry it with one hand). Some of the people who have purchased range from the novice to the seasoned makers. Touring professional anglers, tackle shop owners and a boat load of makers who are tired of paying too much for soft plastic baits.
